Master of Business Administration (MBA)


Program Overview

The Warnborough Master of Business Administration (MBA) gives you the solid foundation needed in today’s dynamic and aggressive business environment. Its strong core subject areas will equip you for everyday contingencies and the successful running of your business.

Program Pre-requisites

All applicants should have a verified English proficiency level of IELTS 6.5 or more, a recognised undergraduate qualification in management and business majors, and at least three year's managerial experience. Each candidate will be considered on individual academic and career merits.

There are several pathways towards earning a Warnborough College MBA.

Program Structure / Modules

The MBA program has been designed for serious business executives who cannot take the time to attend a traditional residential program, but who wish to enhance their business skills and gain a useful qualification.

MBA : Core Modules (5 credits each)

Managing Learning.
Managing Organisations.
Economics for Managers.
Managing Marketing.
Managing Finance.
Managing People.
Business Law and Ethics.
Managing Operations.
Managing Strategy.

Specialisation Options

Students have the option of specialising in the following major areas:

1. The Built Environment;

2. Healthcare Management;

3. International Business;

4. Financial Management; or

5. A Customised Project or Thesis (with prior university approval).

Program Duration

The time frame to complete an MBA degree will vary according to the student’s academic background, subject knowledge, research skills, writing expertise, and the time available to focus on the assignments and projects. Module exemptions and advanced placement may also reduce the overall time frame. Generally, a student can expect to complete the MBA within 12 to 24 months from matriculation (official entry to the program).

Qualification / Award

For the award of the MBA degree, 60 credits must be successfully completed. Successful students will be awarded the Warnborough College Master of Business Administration degree.

Program's Where and How

This program is conducted via distance learning. There are online study materials available for each module. Students have access to a personal tutor for each individual module. An industry internship needs to be organised locally by the student for at least 6 months, if the student is not already working. The MBA is also available as a residential program.

Required Materials for the Program

Course materials are provided online and textbooks are recommended, but suitable alternatives in the topic may be used. All candidates should have access to the Internet.

Extra Costs

Students are responsible for other expenses which may be incurred during the program including but not limited to: internet access, insurance, textbooks, travel and incidental expenses, and travel to and from industry training venues.

Faculty Information

The program is run by the Faculty of Business and Management with a core of experienced and highly-qualified mentors. Each Learning Centre has its own staff who are vetted by Warnborough College, with quality assurance checks carried out annually.
